X-Ray Film Barrier Envelopes #2

Overview

HN Medical size 2 barrier envelopes are single-use plastic covers for size 2 phosphor storage plates (PSP) and intraoral film. The plate is sealed inside before it goes into the mouth, which keeps saliva off the plate and prevents cross-contamination between patients.

Instructions for Use

• Slide the plate into the envelope with its active (exposure) side facing the side that will face the X-ray tube, then peel off the strip and seal.
• Position and expose as usual.
• Wipe the outside of the envelope, tear it open away from the scanner and drop the plate straight into the scanner without touching its surface.
• Discard the envelope after one use.
