Overview
This mini endodontic apex locator is a compact electronic instrument for determining root canal working length during endodontic treatment. It uses multi-frequency impedance measurement with automatic calibration to provide accurate readings in dry canals and in the presence of electrolytes, blood, saline, or remaining pulp. The ergonomic form factor fits on a treatment tray and can be attached to a handpiece or apron to save space.
Key features
- Clear LCD display: Real-time, color-coded trajectory of the endodontic file with precise indication of the remaining distance to the apical foramen in millimeters.
- Mini, lightweight design: Compact and easy to position within the operatory without occupying excessive space.
- Multi-frequency accuracy: Upgraded DSP-based measurement with automatic calibration for consistent performance across varied canal conditions.
- Progressive audio alerts: Increasing tone frequency as the file approaches the apical constriction to help avoid over-instrumentation.
- Sterilizable accessories: File clips, lip hooks, and measuring wires are autoclavable at 134°C / 0.22 MPa to reduce cross-contamination risk.
